Terms & Conditions

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your enrollment and participation at ACTIVE English Grammar & Spoken Language Training Institute, Bogura. By completing the admission form and enrolling, students and their guardians agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Enrollment & Admission

  • Enrollment is subject to seat availability in the requested batch
  • Students must submit the completed admission form with all required documents
  • Required documents: 2 passport-sized photographs and a photocopy of NID or Birth Registration
  • The institute reserves the right to refuse admission without providing a reason
  • Student information provided must be accurate and truthful — false information may lead to cancellation
  • Enrollment is confirmed only upon payment of the admission fee
  • The institute may change batch timings with at least 3 days' prior notice

2. Fee & Payment Policy

  • Monthly fees must be paid by the 10th of each month
  • A late payment fine may be charged after the due date
  • Fees must be paid in full — partial payments are not accepted unless approved by management
  • Receipt will be issued for all payments — please keep receipts for your records
  • The institute may revise fee structures with at least 30 days' prior notice
  • Payment methods: Cash payment at the institute or via bKash (as directed by management)
  • Non-payment for 2 consecutive months may result in removal from the batch

3. Attendance Rules

  • A minimum 75% attendance is required to sit for internal examinations
  • Students must be present on time — tardiness of more than 10 minutes counts as an absence
  • Parents/guardians will be notified when attendance falls below 80%
  • Prior notification is required for planned absences where possible
  • Medical absences require supporting documentation upon return
  • Consistent unexplained absences may result in cancellation of enrollment

4. Code of Conduct

All students are expected to maintain a respectful and professional environment. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Disrespectful or abusive behavior toward teachers, staff, or fellow students
  • Use of mobile phones during class without permission from the teacher
  • Possession or use of any illegal substance on institute premises
  • Vandalism or damage to institute property
  • Cheating, copying, or academic dishonesty in any form
  • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind
  • Bringing outsiders into the classroom without permission

Violation of the code of conduct may result in suspension or permanent expulsion from the institute, without refund of fees.

5. Academic Policy

  • Students must complete assigned homework and classwork on time
  • Regular tests and assessments will be conducted throughout the course
  • Students must participate actively in class discussions and activities
  • Academic records and test results are confidential and will only be shared with parents/guardians
  • The institute reserves the right to change course content to improve learning outcomes
  • Exam dates will be announced at least one week in advance

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • The admission fee is non-refundable once enrollment is confirmed
  • Monthly fees paid for the current month are non-refundable if a student withdraws mid-month
  • Students who withdraw must provide written notice at least 15 days in advance
  • In exceptional circumstances (serious illness, family emergency), the management may consider partial refunds at their sole discretion
  • The institute reserves the right to cancel a batch if the minimum enrollment is not reached — full refund will be given in such cases

7. Use of Facilities

  • The AC classroom and Smart Board are for educational use only
  • Students must keep the classroom clean and tidy
  • Damage to institute property will be charged to the responsible student/guardian
  • The prayer facility is available during break times only
  • Students are responsible for their personal belongings — the institute is not liable for lost items

8. Limitation of Liability

ACTIVE English Grammar & Spoken Language Training Institute is not liable for:

  • Any injury, accident, or illness occurring on institute premises that is not due to gross negligence of the institute
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Any indirect or consequential loss arising from enrollment or withdrawal
  • External examination results — we guarantee quality teaching, not specific exam outcomes

Our maximum liability in any case shall not exceed the fees paid for the current month of enrollment.

9. Changes to These Terms

The institute reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to enrolled students with reasonable notice. Continued enrollment after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
